Huat Ah!
Somehow or rather, I felt that the new year mood this year wasn't so great, must be the doings of the poor economy. Nevertheless, certain things like the reunion dinner, visitings are things we always look forward to, isn't it.

HoHoHo Merry Christmas! Although I am 2 days late Hahaha
Christmas was quite ok, compared to other years. Had a xmas dinner at Weishien's house, with a spread of lotsa meat and salad. Steven Loves Meat.
We left early to join the crowd at St James. And damn the Chivas were selling at $240++, I guess we just not used to pay for the non-membership prices. So we had a cheap bottle of horrible Volka.
Aye the next thing we know, Sherry was knocked out lolz.
We continued to hang at Gallery Bar before it's time to take Sherry back home lolz We didnt have much alcohol, and we got home early but it was a nice way for spending the countdown.
Xmas day was spent at Sherry's, coz I was down with a fever. Must be the horrible Volka.

Before the time passes by, I shall blog about Sherry's birthday and my proposal lolz.
Eh first of all, Happy Birthday Surin!
15th was the birthday for Sherry, and well, the few days were going over to Holland V to scout for flowers and cake, coz I got already a place to have dinner. It was our (Sherry said it's mine) favourite restauarant coz we always have dinner there during the past valentine's and anniversary. And I had to decide btw a watch or diamond earrings for decoil. I chose the diamond earrings eventually.
The day itself, I took a trip over to Holland V to collect the flowers and buy the cake. Everything went on smoothly and the restaurant's manager was more than kind enough to adhere to my requests. But damn, when I was going back home, I was caught in the heavy rain lar. Totally heavy rain and I was riding. yup.
The back news came when my brother called from Bangkok and said that the car was not ready for use. No choice so I had to take cab. The other problem was...how to hide the ring from Sherry! Coz the box that came with the ring was beyond pocket size. I cleverly sourced for a small paper bag and put the diamond earrings and ring and used scrotch tape to close the paper bag, so that Sherry had no chance to see it.
The time came to pick Sherry up and I went by cab. It was drizzling but the traffic was smooth. Sherry got into the cab and we headed to Holland V. She demanded to see her present, but I held it away, even though I flashed the Lancome paper bag. She must had thought I had bought something from Lancome.
We entered the restaurant and was guided to our seats. It was our first time sitting in the restauarnt itself, coz other times were spent cozying outside. Once seated, the good kind manager passed me my roses and I presented to Sherry as the first birthday gift.
Haha she was surprised of coz, haha and we ordered from the menu. And after that, I presented her the pair of earrings. I was very careful not to let Sherry see wat's inside.
And here's wat happen...the initial reaction when Sherry saw the Goldheart box was...surprised and excitment? Maybe she thought it was a ring. But alas, it's just a pair of earrings, and somemore it kinda look similar to the ones I bought for her previously. Hahaha she tried to act pleased with the earrings lar muhahha but I know she must be cursing me inside lolz How come my birthday so disappointing!! lolz
Dinner came and it was good, at least for mine. After we finished, the manager supposed to take the cake out. But god damn it, he didnt notice us and I had to signal to the waitress to clear the god damn plates. And the waitress gave me a blur look as if dunno wanna get the cake or not. Gosh. I nodded and smile and luckily she got the hint.
Birthday cake came with the candle and a birthday song by me. The ppl around clapped. Sherry made a wish and blew the candle. And that was when the moment came.
I took out the box from the bag and kneel down on one knee. Sherry was shocked and surprised! lolz totally speechless and kan-chiong and paiseh. Actually I had prepared a speech (a very short one) before popping out the question. But Sherry was already nodding and taking her hand out. Muhahahhahaha So I just ask 'Will you marry me' and she answered Yes. And I slipped the ring on her finger. Sweet haha

Another new start of the year. Last year was pretty good, with jobs and relationships going well. I hope this year will be just as good, if not better than the last. Had reunion dinner with my family last night, the same charcoal steamboat used once per year. Was a good dinner and everyone is happy.
Going over to Sherry's relatives' house later to bai nian. GONG XI FA CAI! HUAT!!!

it's my brother's birthday on the 28th! We celebrated it with the whole family with a dinner at No Signboard restaruant at Esplanade.
The restaurant was actually quite a let-down. I dun think the food was good, and it cost a big deal bomb. The whole meal cost a bit less than $400 but was shared between me and my brother. Happy Birthday Bro!
Once again, this year Halloween comes and passed by within a wink. I dunno when was the exact date for Halloween, but as far as I am concerned, Halloween is just a night for clubbing and dressing up into scary/funny/sexy characters.
So we ended the Friday with Sherry going to the costume store for me because I was working. She rented a alfro costume for me, together with a blue wig. The wig was damn ulgy and it damn looked like a clown on me. So the very next day, I went back to the store myself. I wanted to change the whole costume but the store rejected me because it's their policy. So I was thinking I'm out for the Halloween until I hit gold with a Vampire costume at spotlight haha.
We headed to Chloe's house at about 8.00 pm to do the make-up. After that it was so all set to go at zouk!

6th September - Once a year, It's the friendship day Meiyan and myself. Well, it actually to commemorate the day which we came to know each other through blogging. Ya otherwise I was only known as the neopet guy. Refer to here. I like this entry.
We did not go out to celebrate it, not because we forgotten about it (Meiyan actually sms-ed me at midnight) but because I was working. We made it up by going out on Saturday. Had dinner in town and was walking around and met up with jas, who apparently thought I had no company for the night. She called me because she need a person to accompany her in the movies as she had already bought tickets for 2.
Anyway we decided to catch the movie, Premonition. I thought it was quite an interesting show, but Sherry was drunk at the hen's night. I had to go out in the middle of the show to fetch her. So I dunno what was the show about. But I think it a should-watch show.
K la i should be working now.
My brother got married on 21/07/2007 haha. I bought a blazer just for the event. Everything went off smooth except there were some last minute stuff that need to be done e.g sitting arrangement, collection of balloons and flower. And Sherry and I were the Emcees for the ceremony and the script was done 15 mins before it began. It was that rush.
The hotel (Carlton) was nice with the ballroom and the ambience was good. Some pics from the ROM.
After the ROM we headed to St James to party. I think St James is getting better and better compared to the first time when we went with Jas and the rest.

It's had been a good start to the new year. Haven been on duty yet and I kinda got my engine running. I hit the gym on Thursday, and it had been a long time since I feel so good.
A new layout for the new year also.
The new year's eve was spent at MOS. The queue was long but the waiting time was real short. I went with Shari and her friends. My neighbour Milla went also but I only managed to talk to her when she was leaving MOS. Had 2 bottles of liquor but I couldn't stand it after the count down. As usual, puke and vomitted.
My brother and Baoquan came to look for me after the count down. I was already had enough then. Ended the night by having supper in Gelyang.
It had been quite some time since I really enjoyed clubbing till that level. It really calls for a special occasionto be that high.
K let us look forward to Chinese new year. Double-ly meaningful for me.
Oh ho I'm super late for my mum's birthday entry. My mum's birthday actually fell on a wednesday, but then everyone was busy and so we celebrated last saturday. The Phua's went to this chinese restauarant to for a good spread and then ended up with a birthday song and cake.
Oh I need to blog abt this. During the meal, I was holding on Shari's fingers and asking her why is her nails so white. And Shari pointed out loudy that mine is yellow because I smoked. And my mum overheard it. gawks.

So after the celebration, Shari and I went to Vivocity to catch a late night movie. The only thing that Vivocity is fantatix abt is the open space on the 3rd level. It's like a sentosa in Singapore island! And there's a lot of leg space in the cinema.

It's a damn happening Chinese New Year! This year's cny is the most happening for recent years. And kinda relax for me. Here 's wat i did:
the 1st day
As usual, the family went to temples after temples to pray. I met up with the guys and club at MOS. Was kinda fun and good. Xiao Wei was there also and get to know her friend, Sherry who is a nice lady.
Day 2
Went visiting relatives and friends, dad got drunk and as usual, talking nonsense. Was kinda tired after the visiting, and Weihao asked for MOS again. I was kinda hestiate to go but I askked Sherry to join, and she readily agreed. Joined by baba and derek and went straight to Velvet as MOS was queu-ing. The queue at Zouk was also long and kinda full-house at the 3 outlets. We managed to get in though. Velvet kinda lacked down while Zouk rocked.
Day 3
Day 3 was spent mostly at home. Highlights were Sherry asking me to go swimming with her lolz. Didn't join her coz I was tired from the clubbing and partly was because my bike was spoilt. Yeah I just washed it on CNY's eve and now it's spoiled kaoz. Head to Junwei's house at night for mahjong. Conincidentally, Junwei's friend bought a guy who happened to be our sch mates.
Day 4
This day is the highlight of the CNY. Woke up early as I wanted to get my bike fixed. There was no towing service available so I thought of riding slowly to the bike shop. And the bike stalled on me. I had to push the bikes until the mechanic came down and push-start the bike for me. Here's him fixing my bike when I was stuck at the junction:
Managed to get the bike to the bike shop. Hopefully nothing major corp up. Was considering of returning to the office when jas and I deicded to go town. Meiyan joined us later. Bad thing happened. 2 teens were arrested and the DY HI was making a fuss out of it due to the hours that they were kept in the lock up. Had no choice but to return back to station for them. Headed for Steven's Lee house after that, and zouk that is.
Zouk, where everyone was there! Ha jas and meiyan joined us. Quite a number of us, including ben, ruyou, xiaowei and sherry. Xiaowei got dead drunk (dead) and we had to send her to sherry's house. She vomitted and kicked me, and She is damn-god heavy lolz. However her mother decided that it's gd for her to go to her own home. Had some talk with Sherry before heading home.

Just had my reunion dinner at home, as in the past, we had steamboat as usual. Started out with everyone wishing father good luck and health, which he would wish us the same, and announce the start of dinner! hahah
Mind you it runs on Charcoal. It's damn gd la we been using it for years.
