Recently in NY Resolutions Category

As per tradition, it's the time again to recap what has been done in the year and what's not. Lots of stuff happened to me: A list of it

- Preparation for the wedding is on the way, with most of the things settled.
- I bought a house, done up with renovation and furnishing. Now I realise time really passes so fast. I can still vividly remember the renovation process, but here i am, living here for the past 3 months already.
- I got myself a car, which I am still enjoyed of driving regardless of the rain and the sun. This year also marked the starting of shopping and eating in Malaysia and the refuelling of cheap petrol.
- I got promoted! Haha I did not get stuck in the rank structure. Phew.
- I got myself transferred back to I-branch again. I dunno whether if this is the correct choice, being either I can fly through the colours or fail again, with no point of turning back.
- This year marked the year of big spending. We got wedding rings, banquet, the wedding and also the house stuff. Phew. Thank god for the retention bonus I got in November.
- Didnt managed to get a chance to travel, being busy for most of the time.
- Friends are getting lesser and lesser, with them getting more and more engaged with their personal lives. Who isn't?
- Luck in job hunting wasn't good. And it really made me realise there are so many ppl who are over-qualified and fighting for your job.

And here we are, stepping into year 2010. A good start. The New Year resolution is to strike hard in I-branch. I'm wanna bring my career to a different level =)

Happy New Year everyone!

The last day of 2008, the year where everything was quite ok and smooth, work-wise and relationship-wise. A recap:

- Sherry and I are still together, and yeah I proposed and she accepted.
- Work had been mundane, nothing much of anything exciting.
- I got called up for an interview at the cutting edge, and I got selected haha
- And that actually put me in a dilemma of staying and resigning from my job
- I'm so going to finish my degree. If I passed the recent exams, I will graduate!
- Sadly, I had only meet meiyan like twice this year only lolz
- Didnt even travel this year. The farthest I got this year is KL
- Clubbing was still fun this year, with many occasions getting drunk
- This yr is mundane, i got writer's block lolz
- I've finally got a phone with GPS! haha a HTC Diamond.
- Clubbing is always at St James this yr round lolz
- The first time we went around looking for hotels banquets and re-sale houses.
- Oh Mas Selamat is still missing! damn it this yr marked the most no. of times I had been into forested areas coz of him.
- Big spending. The proposal ring, the bridal package and stuff. Woah!
- I'm the mega man! haha and I was on the radio the first time lolz

K I shall add in when I have unblock my block. Last yr resolution was: To quit smoking, to pass my degree and to work harder and sleep earlier. I'm glad I did work hard to pass my degree, though I'm still smoking and sleeping late.

The new year's should remain the same, I guess: to quit smoking and sleep early! haha

Year 2007 is ending and here comes year 2008. A recap of what happened in year 2007:

- I got booted out from I-Branch. I was given a choice to stay. I chose to leave because of what had happened, and I didn't want to stuck in this postion anymore.
- I got transferred back to Sengkang NPC, the old police station which I was transferred from. Some were in awe with the knowledge I learned from I-Branch, and some weren't so impressed about it.
- I enrolled into a degree program, to pave the future a bit easier for me and glad that I made that choice.
- IPPT is a lot harder to pass this year.
- I got into the IBTF department of my NPC, which means I am working on office hour Hahah with workload less than half of what I used to have.
- Didn't travel much this year. Been to Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Genting. That's all.
- I am still with Sherry, with lots of lesser quarrels and conflicts haha.
- Love let me gain 7kg on my stomach. I weighed almost 70 kg now. Haha
- I became an uncle in December, with the birth of my brother's daughter, Jamie Phua.
- Oh Mahjong was a good year for me, I win more than I lost. I'm finally got the luck.
- This year I spent a lot of time watching movies and sitcoms downloaded from the net. The free time I had after coming out from I-Branch.
- Spending lesser time with the guys and the girls. A lot of friends say I'm always with Sherry. The thing is, sometimes I just dun feel like meeting ppl.
- The older I get, the lesser I feel like meeting people.
- Sherry bought me a Nokia E65 for birthday present, which can do all the things in the world haha
- Oh with the birth of Jamie means that I am sharing the room with my parents.
- I installed a box on my m/cycle Hahaha that was not even considered in the past!
- Xmas eve was crappy, as usual with the past years.
- Lots of technology changed, with IPOD a big boom, wireless networks, PSP etc. I'm getting to realise I can't catch up anymore.
- Friendster became obselete, which facebook is hot.
- This year, I think I had the most number of supper.
- No major quarrels with any friends. Dun think there is any.
- I was very low and depressed when I first transferred back to SK NPC. Unable to click with the ppl as such. The situtation became better though =) I will always remember that period.

This kinda sum up 2007. It had been quite a quiet and peaceful year compared to 2006. I kinda missed year 2007 when I typing this entry.

Haha last year's resolution was to work harder and sleep earlier. I still working on that. The new year's resolution is:

To quit smoking, to pass my degree and to work harder and sleep earlier!

CHEERS! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

It's the last day of the year and as usual, here is an entry to sum up the year, to recap of what had happened. I kinda like this year, although it was tough for me, but then so many things happened that I feel reluctant for 2006 to be over.

Here's the main event that occured in 2006

- I got a girlfriend when least expected and I'm still with her!
- Lots of quarrels and misunderstandings during these periods but we stuck it through.
- The US trip. The first time getting out of Asia.
- San francisco was good.
- Getting lots of complaint in work.
- Lots of reshuffling of teammates and ppl moving out.
- Realised I should had put in more effort in my work.
- Finally upgraded from AIO to IO.
- Met lots of ppl from different places, Jap, Ang-mohs etc.
- Changed from NSR (non-stop racing) to the current Super 4.
- No accident this year hoho
- Cried a few times. Maybe the most number of times in this year.
- Foo Meimei and meiyan are still the ones who provided me with support when I had problems.
- Sherry is the main pillar of support when the problem is not her. lolz
- I discovered I've got balding problems. Taking steps to reverse the process.
- Totally disillusioned with my work.
- Cried at work due to r/s problems.
- I got a big complaint during work in December, brought me down to the lowest point.
- My colleague committed suicide early this year, with a gun.
- Got a surprise from Shari during birthday, and rode to JB for my birthday.
- Went to Phuket for her birthday. Drive and rode.
- Went to Batam for massage and a short stay.
- Met up with the guys on less occasions.
- Bought a digital camera

Last year's resolution was "to be more hardworking in my work, sleep early, have a gf, and change my bike."

I fufilled the last 2. Needed to work hard on the first 2. Haha
Happy new year!

2 more days to the New Year, as the same for every year, there's always some resolutions for the next yr.

Here's the main event that occured in 2005.

- I won a lucky draw ticket for 2 to korea!
- I went overseas for the first time, apart from Malaysia.
- I boarded the air plane for the first time also, and it turned out that there was some technical faults with the plane and forced to U-turn back.
- Oh I slept together with Meiyan in a Singapore Hotel lolz.
- The trip to korea was nice.
- I made a career choice, from uniformed police officers to a investigator.
- I got into contact with some of my secondary and primary school friends, some which i have not seen for years.
- I finally got my name card.
- I got into an accident in Malaysia.
- I got into an accident in Singapore also, in a police car.
- Finally the car rental issue was ironed out and i need not pay.
- I saw a person slip from my hand and died.
- This reminded me of the first time where i successfully chased and caught one peron in my police life.
- I realised the stress in my line of work.
- I was affected by some cases, and some cases I dun agreed with it.
- I was much more affected that my birthday sucks and there was 2 accused arrested on that day.
- I was devasted to know I am going to break record of the charges ever tendered in court.
- Finally I know how's court looks like and its proceeding.
- I got rejected by a girl, and I'm still single.
- I got real mad at Meiyan for saying I'm taking advantage of her.
- Oh dun think I got into a quarrel with Jas this yr!
- Mahjong suck this year.
- Got to Genting this yr with my colleauges.
- Club first time in KL.
- Gotta know a sweet Malay girl in KL, which i got her number and realised it's useless lolz.
- Went for massage the first time, clean one.
- Passed my class 2A.
- Oh most memorable entry is the one which May's bf hit back!
- Oh spent a lot of time with meiyan this yr.
- Spent lot of times with jas when she is down.
- I hit the wall of the bend along CTE exiting havelock road. That was frightening.

And for the resolution next yr is to be more hardworking in my work, sleep early, have a gf, and change my bike. yeah.

I am too lazy and busy to blog nowadays but here i wish everyone a Happy New Year. Just got back from dinner with yan at town. And bum into Zhikang who looked totally like wang jie! lolz I decided to use yan's template to blog Ha

Okays now for my first entry for 2005.

Ended my 2004 pretty well. And it was a year of, well, many things happened.

I should sum up my 2004, but before that, let me digress.

I graduated from the Police Academy! And here i am into the job for already 6 months. I passed my bike licence! haha so nowadays going to places late at night is easier however I cannot drink though. I broke off with May! Nahz it's May who broke up with me. This is another big chapter in my life~ Hmm

And celebrated and countdown to 2005 with Yan, Jas and Ben. It was quite a peaceful beginning to a year, we went clubbing at Chinablack and ended off the night with Yan at Newton Circus.

Alrights back to summing up my 2004:- (in no order, and randomly thought of)
(1) Graduated from Police Academy with my Warrant Card.
(2) Started working at Serangoon NPC and later Sengkang NPC soon after.
(3) Went to play basketball and first time I actually tanned myself.
(4) Went to Kentridge Park with Jasmine and she was my first pillion and she actually fell down and we almost got into an accident.
(5) Celebrated my birthday in the way which i always wanted. Thanks to Christine, jas, yan and ben.
(6) I kena fucked just now by my CO all because i parked my van at one of the key officer's parking lot.
(7) I bought a SP NSR150. IF u still dunno, it stands for "Steven Phua Non-Stop Racing 150"
(8) This yr i think i went out the most times with the 2 girls (jas and yan) compared to all the previous years.
(9) And yes, the first time I received Bonus!

Okay I'm kind of lazy to think of anymore. And now to the Thank You speech for 2004 (though it's kind of late):-
- To Jasmine, for still being there, I will never ever take you for granted.
- To Yan, a good friend and for being there, especially of late, and I will never forget last week when I came down to Zouk to get you haha
-To my Bamaotong. It's been so many yrs and we're still close and together.
- My family. My father who i always find a nag and bad tempered(but i love him as much as he loves me), My mum who is always there to talk and share my problems, My brother who has been teaching me about police job. I love u all.
- To May, for all the 4 yrs of memories that always etched in my mind.
- To All those whom i never mentioned...Thank you all for I fell into depression for quite some time of the year. Pardon me if I have been rude or unkind to u, for i am not feeling gd abt myself. If next time u bump into me on the streets and i still behave in such a way, it means i totally dun care abt u and u're a wreck lolz.

I've learnt a lot in the past year. And somehow I feel that I should be lucky that I'm staying in Singapore.

And now to my 2005 New Year Resolution (I'm crossing my fingers that I will stick to it):-
- Cut down on expenses and save up (I'm starting to keep tab).
- Get diver's and class 2A licence
- Plan for my future and save up.
- Be more patient and understanding (to everyone!).
- Do my job well (Why dun ask the job to do me well instead?)
- Be self-sufficient
- Good friends with bmt, yan and jas! No quarrels no more. (Screams Bitch!)
